Nestled in the heart of Hirafu with breathtaking panoramic views of the ski slopes and the iconic Mt. Yotei, Chalet Ivy Hotel embarked on a comprehensive modern makeover in 2017. OVO was entrusted to lead this transformation through the expert curation of furniture and floral arrangements. Our role was to reimagine the hotel’s interior narrative, moving beyond the conventional expectations of an alpine lodge. The result is a complete stylistic rewrite: a sanctuary where contemporary comfort meets a deeply embedded natural aesthetic, offering guests an entirely new and refined mountain experience.
A New Vision for Alpine Hospitality: The design intervention focuses on harmonizing the awe-inspiring external landscape with a sophisticated, calming interior. Carefully selected furniture provides modern functionality and clean lines, while organic, artful flower arrangements inject vitality and a sense of the local flora. Together, they create a cohesive environment that feels both elevated and inherently connected to its majestic surroundings.
